Assignment 5 - Final Vision
Stage 1 - Design System/Style Guide Stage 2 - Marketing Website
For the final assignment, students need to focus on two majors core components done after the design artifact which is first: how to transmit and communicate design assets to engineers for product developments, and second, how to showcase attract potential future customers by having a digital marketing design piece that explains your project in details.
Stage 1 - Design System/Style Guide
The first part of this assignment focuses on building a cohesive design system/style guide in order to catalogue your design component into a design system/style guide.
According to the weekly lecture, the goal of a design system is to establish one central place of truth for your design inventory. This central space is either important internally across the designers on your team, or also, really fundamental for software engineers who will ultimately build it.
Thus, your design system should have all core fundamental design component catalogues inside it such as:
- Grid System
- Color
- Typography
- Icons
- Form Elements
- Navigation
- Tables
- etc
It's important to understand this inventory should be accurate with your design and vice versa. In order words, it's a good exercise to revise your assets and maybe find design inconsistencies between elements.
Also, inside your design system, make sure to add some "to do" and "don't do" examples in order to define and clarify set rules.

The outcome of your design system should be either a website made from scratch with all the sections done properly with imagery, examples, and text information.
Or, you can also leverage existing digital platforms such as UXpin and Frontity which include a 14-day trial as an example for developing a baseline.
Stage 2 - Marketing Website
As explained on the beginning of the page, students will also need to strategize around a one-pager website with an intent to attract either potential new customers or investors. In order to achieve this, your marketing website should target your audience well.
Thus, this website should explain and have a selling aspect of your project also. Make sure to place an emphasis on:
- Key core features with a clear explanation
- What are the benefits/values of your projects
- Speculative testimonials
- Speculative "as seen on tv" with publisher logo review
- Etc
Also, every student should leverage their existing materials done in class such as
- High Fidelity Mocks
- UI Animations
- Etc
