Remediation Plan

Current Status of the Course

To date, students should have completed 65% of the course work (including 5% participation). This includes:

  • Exercise A
  • Project 1A
  • Project 1B
  • Project 1C
  • Project 1D
  • Project 1E
  • Project 2A
  • Project 2B
  • In-Class Exercise 1
  • In-Class Exercise 2

Student Options

Students have 2 options for how to complete the course and receive a grade:

  1. Request an assessed grade. You will receive a grade for the class based on the work you have already completed (see above), prior to the strike beginning. As long as you have completed everything that was assigned before the strike began, this option should apply. You can read more and apply for the assessed grade option here. If you wish to choose this option, you MUST apply online by filling out the Assessed Grade form on the "My Courses" section of my.yorku.ca.
  2. Complete the remaining course work. You will be able to complete the remaining projects (Project 2C–E) at your convenience. Remaining lecture material and in-class exercises are now available on this site. All remaining project work must be completed and submitted to your instructor by 11:59 PM August 17, 2018. Please see the Weekly Schedule for details.

Project Weight Adjustments

In an effort to get to the minimum 70% required for students to take the assessed grade option, we will be making some slight adjustments to the weights of projects.

Each students' request for the assessed grade option will be processed individually by the instructor. If you have already made a request, you do not need to contact your instructor. They will contact you in the next week or two.
